- Last week was "National Sunshine Week", dedicated to promote
transparency & accountability of the Government. Let's take some
time to think about our Government... Meetings are not conducted
as outlined in our Constitution. Tribal business is discussed behind
closed doors. Tribal Members are left in the dark. According to
reports, we have approximately 7,000 enrolled Members. We need
to inform our whole Membership of how our current Government
operates. We need to let the sun shine in Bad River. It is our hope
to inform Members that live off-reservation & those that are unable
to attend meetings, of the continued disregard of our Constitution.
We ALL have or should have a vested interest. To initiate
awareness and promote transparency & accountability, we have
started an article "Let Us Count The Ways Our Tribal Council Has
Violated The Constitution & Failed To Uphold The Oath Of Office"...
Members are encouraged to submit additions to this article in the
same manner as posting a comment. We are also interested in
hearing your solutions to the charges. Check this page daily. We will
add your writings for this article as we receive them. It'll be
