Tribal Council Set To Meet In Beloit
- Sunday December 6, 2009 - The tribal
council is set to leave today in preparation for
a meeting in the city of Beloit which is
scheduled for some time Monday. They will
be utilizing a tribal van to save money. There
is much public speculation about this meeting
but nothing is known officially other than this
is a first time meeting with our newly elected
council to "touch base" as everything was left
"up in the air" by the previous administration.
The people of Bad River are still waiting for
some sort of informative meeting. One tribal
member said he is "somewhat leery upon
hearing about this latest meeting and only
time will tell if this new administration's
promises of transparency are for real."
